Flagship service

A website that looks
like you decided.

Not a template with your photos dropped in. A site designed around your brand, your boundaries and the way you actually work — then built, hosted and looked after by the person who designed it.

The approach

Your website is usually the only thing a prospective client sees that you control completely. Directories rank you next to competitors, ad platforms change their rules without warning, and social accounts get removed. Your own site is the one place where the framing is yours.

So the work starts with what you want that framing to be — the tone, the level of detail, what is visible immediately and what sits a click deeper. Then the design follows from it, rather than the other way round.

What that means in practice

You will not be handed three template options to choose between. You will see real pages in a browser, early, with your own words and images in them, and we will change them together until they are right. Revisions during the build are expected — they are the process, not an extra.

What is included

Everything a working site needs.

Custom design
Typography, colour, layout and photography direction chosen for your brand. No stock theme underneath it.
Mobile first, genuinely
Most of your visitors arrive on a phone, often on a slow connection. The phone layout is designed first and tested on real devices, not shrunk down afterwards.
Gallery that respects your images
Responsive, lazy-loaded, modern formats, location data stripped on upload, and ordered the way you want rather than by filename.
Contact and booking form
The fields you want, validated, spam-filtered, and delivered wherever you prefer to read it. Including the questions you need answered before you will consider a booking.
Rates, availability and tour dates
Structured so you can change them in seconds without asking anyone, because they change often.
A content manager you will actually use
Edit your text, swap photos, update your calendar. Built to be obvious. If you need a manual to change a sentence, it was built wrong.
Search-ready from day one
Clean markup, fast pages, sensible titles and descriptions, a sitemap, and no technical debt for a future SEO project to unpick.
Your domain, in your name
Registered to you, with privacy protection, and transferable away from me at any time. A site you cannot take with you is a hostage.

The process

From first message
to live site.

Most sites take one to two weeks. Rush work is possible — ask.

  1. Conversation

Email, phone or text, whichever you prefer. What you do, what you need, what you want to avoid. No charge, no commitment.

  2. A plan and a price

Written down, so there is no ambiguity about what is included. If the scope changes later, the price is renegotiated before the work, never after.

  3. Design and build

You get a private link to the real site as it comes together, and you can comment on anything at any point.

  4. Your content

Send it as it comes — a document, a folder of photos, voice notes. I will shape it. Writing help is included if you want it.

  5. Review and launch

You check it on your own phone with your own content. We fix what feels wrong. Then it goes live, with TLS, backups and monitoring already set up.

  6. After launch

Updates, changes and support from the same person. Not a ticket queue.

Questions

Before you ask.

Can I edit it myself afterwards?
Yes — that is the point of the content manager. Text, photos, rates and availability are all yours to change. If you would rather I made changes for you, that works too.
Do I have to pay before you start?
No. This has been the policy since the beginning — the 2012 site said "do not EVER pay for a website up front" in those words, and it still holds.
What if I already have a site?
It can usually be rebuilt without losing your domain, your content or your search rankings. If you have lost access to it, that is often recoverable too — ask before you give up on it.
Will my site look like other clients' sites?
No. That is the whole proposition. If two clients want a similar structure they will still not look alike.
How much does it cost?
It depends on what you need. The packages page sets out what is in each tier; for current figures, request a quote.

Start your website

Let us build the version of this that is yours.

Tell me what you have in mind and I will tell you, straight, what it would take. No obligation, no sales call, no pressure.

You will be talking to the developer.

Not an account manager, not a reseller, not a chatbot. The person who replies to your message is the person who builds and maintains the site — and who has been doing it for this industry since 2001.
