Speed
Core Web Vitals, image formats and sizes, lazy loading, caching, compression. Your visitors are on phones, often on mobile data, and they leave.
Search & visibility
This industry is locked out of almost every paid channel. Search is one of the few places you can still compete on merit — which makes doing it properly worth more here than almost anywhere else.
Read this before anything else on the page
Nobody can guarantee you a ranking. Not me, not an agency with a nicer deck. Search engines do not sell positions in organic results and they change their ranking systems constantly. Anyone promising you "page one" is either misleading you or planning something that will get your site penalised.
What can be promised is the work: a site that is technically sound, fast, correctly structured, honestly described, and free of the problems that actively hold sites back. That is what moves results, and it is the only thing on this page.
01 — Technical
Most sites in this industry are losing on fundamentals rather than content. These are cheap to fix once and expensive to ignore.
01
Core Web Vitals, image formats and sizes, lazy loading, caching, compression. Your visitors are on phones, often on mobile data, and they leave.
02
A correct sitemap, a robots.txt that does not accidentally block you, canonical URLs, no duplicate-content traps, and clean internal linking.
03
Making sure the pages you want found are indexed and the ones you do not are not. Plenty of sites quietly block themselves.
04
Accurate markup for what the business genuinely is. No invented review ratings — that is a manual penalty waiting to happen.
05
One canonical hostname, one protocol, no redirect chains, no mixed content. Boring, and routinely broken.
06
Checking that your domain has no history working against it, and that nothing on the site looks like spam to an automated classifier.
02 — On the page
Keyword stuffing stopped working a long time ago, and in this industry it actively makes a site look disreputable to the people you want reading it.
The work is more ordinary than that: give every page one clear job, title and describe it accurately, structure it with real headings, answer the questions visitors actually arrive with, and make the page genuinely better than the thin directory listing ranking above it.
03 — Place and timing
Most of this industry's search demand is local and time-bound. People search a city, often with dates attached. That maps badly onto conventional local SEO — you are generally not putting a street address on a map — so it needs a different approach.
That usually means real pages for the places you genuinely work, written with enough substance to deserve ranking, plus tour dates structured so that announcing a visit three weeks out actually has time to be indexed. What it does not mean is generating two hundred near-identical city pages, which search engines have been penalising for over a decade.

Start your website
Send me your current site and I will tell you what is actually holding it back — including if the answer is that it is fine and you do not need me.
You will be talking to the developer.
Not an account manager, not a reseller, not a chatbot. The person who replies to your message is the person who builds and maintains the site — and who has been doing it for this industry since 2001.
